“What a day.”

Today was a bit of a wacky day.

It started off completely normal. I woke up at the crack of dawn to take care of the animals and the crops. My pig, Mellie, was still a bit sick and I was planning on getting the vet to take a look at her when he made his rounds later in the day.

Next, I ate breakfast. Nothing too fancy, just a blueberry muffin and a yogurt. I actually needed to go into town to pick up groceries, but I had decided to hold off until tomorrow because the vet was coming in today.

That’s when I saw the first sheep.

After breakfast, I continued tending to the crops. I had recently started a new field of corn and I was worried that the soil hadn’t been thoroughly prepared beforehand. Luckily, I had been worried for no reason and the corn had already began sprouting.

I returned to my house for lunch. The vet was scheduled to arrive at any moment, so I kept an eye out for him. While he didn’t arrive for another hour, I did see another sheep in the field.

The vet and I have actually been quite close for years now. He knows all my animals, much like I know that at the end of his rounds, he will want to take a nice, quiet stroll through my fields to clear his mind after a busy day.

Eventually, the vet came and went. Mellie was apparently completely healthy, which I was glad about, don’t get me wrong, as were the rest of my animals.

As night approached, I saw yet another sheep. By that time, I thought for sure that I was going insane. These sheep kept popping up everywhere. Sure, I hadn’t given them much thought earlier, but now this was just getting weird!

I didn’t see the sheep again until I was lying in bed, getting ready to sleep. And there they were, jumping right in front of my eyes, making me sleepy, so sleepy…

Final Comments: This is it… TTtW story #100!! I think that I might’ve felt a bit of pressure coming into this one to make it extra good, but I ended up not really liking the end product…
