“The Unbreakable Balloon”

The bright colours stood out against the pale blue sky. As the balloon teetered high above their heads, they would pointed and waved. They would shout and try to find ways to get it down.

Each and every one of them thought that the balloon had been sent up by accident and, by some miracle, hadn’t ever come down. It was a thing of legend, an unbreakable flying balloon that circled the world.

No one knew for certain how the balloon was staying afloat. Multiple theories were circulating. Some involved witchcraft. Others involved extraterrestrial influence. After all, it was a feat of impossibility.

So, everyone tried to shoot it down. They didn’t like the thought of an impossibility. It scared them.

Final Comments: I didn’t really have a clear idea of a story so I struggled quite a bit with just coming up with things to write…
