“The Time-Halt V-500”

If only…

If only there was a way to stop time.

I mean, think about it. If time stopped, you would be able to live out your entire life however you wanted. You would be able to do whatever you wanted, however many times you wanted. You would be able to go where you pleased, to see what you always dreamed of seeing.

You would be unstoppable.

So, I invented the Time-Halt V-500. It’s a personal device that can easily fit into your back pocket. Simply press the ‘on’ button and time will stand still for you.

Of course, time would only stop for you. Everyone else would continue going about their business, none the wiser that you just stopped time for yourself. It would be as if you were in your own personal time bubble.

In fact, the T-H-V-500 acts almost exactly as if you were in a bubble. You would have your own personal space at all times, however as soon as something–or someone–enters your bubble with you, they would also be subject to the incredible time-bending power of the T-H-V-500.

Final Comments: With such an open prompt, I really didn’t expect this story to go in this direction. Still, it was kind of refreshing to write in such a different format from how I usually write.
