“The Dreamgiver”

Prompt: “Dreams are necessary to life.” – Anais Nin
I have the best job in the world. Get this: I hand out Dreams. Yep, you heard that right. I’m a Dreamgiver.
Every night, when everyone falls asleep, I go from house to house and give each person their own personalized Dream. The process is actually quite simple. All I have to do is take a quick peek at their happy moments from their day and create a nice little dream based off of those. Sometimes I even get creative and add in little pieces of fun here and there.
But, of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, those pesky Dreamcatchers take the Dreams I’ve so carefully prepared and replace parts or even the whole thing with a Nightmare. Don’t get me wrong; I respect Dreamcatchers. They’re doing their job, just like I’m doing mine. And I do have to say that they do a fantastic job of curating the perfect nightmares.
But, from a Dreamgiver perspective, Dreamcatchers can be quite annoying. They take all our hard work and throw it in the garbage like it’s nothing. They think that they’re more important than us, just because people tend to remember their Dreams more than ours.
Still, the Dreamcatchers don’t stop me from doing my very best work each and every night. Because you know what? If I can make even one person smile when they wake up and remember their dream, then all my hard work is worth it.
Final Comments: This one seemed to flow pretty easily.
