A lot of people think that I’m cruel, vicious, evil even.

But I’m here to tell you that I’m not. I’m just doing my job, probably just like you are. I’m just following orders, doing as I’m told until I can retire.

It’s not that I hate my job. In fact, I’m actually pretty good at it. Dreams rarely escape me. It’s true that I replace them with nightmares, but hey, aren’t nightmares so much more exciting than those stupid little dreams? I sure think so.

Just think about it. In a dream, you could be dancing around in a cloud kingdom with fairies and unicorns and all that sweet crap. But in a nightmare, who knows what could happen? You could be facing off with an evil clown or getting torn to pieces by a dragon! Isn’t that so much more exciting?

Dreams are predictable. All humans have the same dreams. My boss thinks that humans aren’t deserving of their dreams. That’s why he has his employees going around catching them and replacing them with nightmares.

I can’t really say that I have an opinion about humans. I haven’t spent a whole lot of time around them when they’re awake, and from what I’ve seen from their dreams, there’s not much going on in those little heads of theirs.

So no, I’m not cruel, vicious, or evil. I’m simply a Dream Catcher.
