Take Ten to Write

“Shout Our Love To The World”

Author’s Note: This is a Take Ten to Write story and has not been proofread for errors. If I feel inspired or if there’s interest in the story, I’ll post a revised, edited, and extended version at a later date. Happy reading!

Music prompt: “Wild Life” by OneRepublic

The wind buffeted us back as we raced across the hills together. The look of pure joy on his face made my heart swell. I love this man with all my heart, there’s no doubt about it.

The long grass sweeps my shins, tickling them relentlessly. But even that slight sensation just adds to my joy. Nothin can bring me down from my elation.

The sun catches on the new diamond sitting on my ring finger. Another wave of happiness washes over me.

I’m engaged. I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this beautiful man who’s running with wild abandon through a field of flowers with me. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

He suddenly lets out a booming yell. He screams to the world that he’s getting married to the girl of his dreams.

And I join him. I shout it to the world. Life couldn’t be any more perfect.

Final Comments: This one wasn’t really originally meant to be a continuation of yesterday’s story, but it just kind of seemed to fit.
