“Secret Siren”

Write a story titled “Secret Siren”.
Can you keep a secret? Good, because boy have I got one for you.
I’m a Siren.
Shocker, right? Well, here’s the thing: I’m not the type of Siren you’re probably thinking about right now. I’m not half-mermaid or whatever Sirens are. I don’t sing to lure innocent sailors to their deaths (I’m actually incapable of singing).
I’m just a regular person who happens to be freakishly good at luring men to their deaths. I’m not particularly proud of this strange ability of mine. Honestly, it’s just been something I’ve always been able to do.
The first time it happened, I had wanted ice cream. The man at the ice cream stand refused to give it to me for some reason–something about me not having any money or something. The next morning, he turned up dead outside his ice cream stall.
Now, I’m not saying that I intentionally lured him out into traffic. I’m just saying that it was unfortunate that he decided to try to chase down the woman who took an ice cream without permission.
As you can probably guess, I’ve had to keep my abilities a secret due to the… unfortunate… side effects it has on some people. But I’ve had enough of keeping it a secret. I’m done with feeling trapped.
I’m glad you were willing to listen. It feels good to be able to tell someone the truth for once.
Now, I’m afraid I’m going to have to make sure that my secret is kept a secret. Thank you for your service, but now it’s time for you to sleep…
Final Comments: I’m not super happy with how this one turned out. I think that a lot more could’ve been done with this prompt…
