“My Other Half”

As I stare into his eyes, I realize that
I’ve found everything that I ever
could’ve wanted. This, right here, is
true happiness.

As I stare into her eyes, I realize that
I’ve never wanted anything more
than to make her the happiest person
in the universe. She’s my rock, my
heart, my love.

He always knows what I need, what
I want. He can read my mind, read
my very soul. He gives me more than
I could ever ask for.

She always knows when I’m feeling
down, when I’m having a bad day.
She can see into the future, see into
our future. She gives me more than
I deserve.

He’s daring, crazy, generous, soft-
hearted. He’s more selfless than he
has a right to be. His smile means
that everything will be alright. He
knows me better than I know myself.

She’s shy, passionate, kind, gentle.
She’s more courageous than she
knows. Her laughter lights up the
room and the souls of everyone who
hears it. She’s my everything.

I love him.

I love her.

My other half.

Final Comments: I love, love, love this song. I honestly didn’t really have an idea when I first started writing this, but then it just sort of fell into a poetic style and, well, here it is.
