“Lost in the Rainforest”

Prompt: “I’m lost.”

Fine, I’ll admit it: I’m lost.

Sure, coming into the rainforest by myself wasn’t exactly the best idea, but what else was I supposed to do? Pass on the greatest experience in my lifetime just because my friends are too chicken to come? No, I don’t think so.

Then again, if Matthew were here, we probably wouldn’t have gotten lost. If Cam were here, we probably wouldn’t be scrounging for berries and mushrooms every night. If Carrie were here, we’d probably have a working fire.

But reality is, they aren’t. I’m completely by myself. I’m alone and scared. And chances are, I’ll die alone here, in the rainforest.

Why was I so stupid?
