Take Ten to Write

“Inspiration”

Author’s Note: This is a Take Ten to Write story and has not been proofread for errors. If I feel inspired or if there’s interest in the story, I’ll post a revised, edited, and extended version at a later date. Happy reading!

“Sounds inspiring.”

Inspiration.

It’s such a funny thing, inspiration. Sometimes the smallest things can inspire someone, like a speck of dust or a grain of sand. Other times, inspiration is hard to find, almost like it’s evading all attempts to be captured and sculpted into something else. Almost like it just wants to be free.

Inspiration can come in all types of forms: pictures, objects, feelings, smells, sounds… anything. Inspiration can really be anything, depending on how the user wishes to view it.

Is it possible to be overly-inspired? Personally, I don’t think that it is, but I’m just one person who finds inspiration in little things.

Maybe someone else would disagree. Maybe someone else would argue that one could become too inspired to form single, full, and coherent idea. I mean, sure it’s happened to me before that I’ve tried stuffing too many ideas into one story or one little paragraph. I’m not sure if that would be considered ‘overly inspired’, though, rather than just ‘unedited’.

In either case, I still consider inspiration to be something beautiful and I always love experiencing those little bursts every day from just the most random things.

Final Comments: I had a bit of a hard time writing this one. I think I maybe should’ve chosen to do a fiction story rather than a non-fiction piece…
