“Guess the Object”
Author’s Note: This is a Take Ten to Write story and has not been proofread for errors. If I feel inspired or if there’s interest in the story, I’ll post a revised, edited, and extended version at a later date. Happy reading!
Prompt: Obvious.
Let’s play a game, shall we? I’ll describe something–and it could be anything–and you’ll have to tell me what it is, alright? Great, then let’s begin.
Let’s start off easy. The first thing I’m thinking of is transparent, and you can see right through it. It’s usually found on the sides of buildings and sometimes even in buildings. It can also be found in cars.
The next thing is quite different. A big hint is that it’s alive. It can be all sorts of colours, depending on where it is. It’s got a long, spiraled tail and it holds on tight to the branch it’s perched on.
The third thing is an object again. This one’s a bit trickier, so listen carefully. The object I’m thinking of is soft and fluffy. It has many uses, which I won’t describe here because they would totally give away the identity of the object. It can be many colours, either all at once or just solid. It actually originates from something else, but you can find them all over the place.
These three objects should be fairly obvious. Then again, maybe they’ll only be obvious after the answers are given.
I guess we’ll never know.
Final Comments: I didn’t like this one at all. Blegh.
