“Crowniscuits”

Prompt: “Recipe ingredients: 5 boxes cake mix, 1 box brownie mix, 1 can biscuit dough.“ — suggested by Mary

“What exactly are we making?” I frown, picking out each box of ingredients from the grocery bag.

“I call it a crowniscuit!” Sadie exclaims with a grin. She takes each box of dessert mix from me and places them in some sort of order on the kitchen counter. “Trust me, you’re going to love it.”

“I’m not sure I trust you,” I say, earning me a playful shove.

“Well, you’re still going to love it,” she says. “I can promise you that.”

“Okay, so what exactly goes into this… uh…”

“Crowniscuit,” Sadie finishes with a serious nod. “Yes, well the base ingredients are pretty simple. Five boxes of cake mix, one box of brownie mix, and one can of biscuit dough.”

“Cake… brownie… biscuit… Oh! I get it.”

Sadie’s grin grows. “Exactly! And there’s absolutely nothing to not love in it!”

I frown. “Yeah, except for one teensie tiny problem.”

Her eyes widen with alarm. “What?!”

“Well… I kinda can’t eat gluten…”

Final Comments: I had fun with this one! By the way, shoving a whole bunch of desserts into one is incredible; I definitely recommend it.
