I wake up to the taste of salt. Rubbing my eyes, I slowly push myself up to sitting. I’m immediately hit by a strong breeze that stings my cheeks.

The door bursts open. “Good morning!” Natalie sings. She bounces over to me and jumps onto the bed beside me. “Sleep well?”

I nod. “Just not enough,” I say with a yawn.

“Well that’s too bad,” she says, jumping up again. She grabs my arm and tries pulling me up. “Come on! We’re going to be late!”

“For what?” I groan, reluctantly letting her pull me up.

“We’re going to the beach today!” she squeals. “Jason and Victoria are already ready, so hurry up!”

She finally lets go of my arm, but instead walks to the closet and throws some clothes at me. “Hurry up!” she repeats before leaving my room.

As I walk to the bathroom, I finally start waking up. Don’t get me wrong, I love being on vacation. It’s just that I’m pretty awful with jet lag. But my desire to spend time on the beach with my friends quickly overpowers my exhaustion.

I pull on the clothes that Natalie gave me and head out to join the others.

Final Comments: I didn’t really know what to write… It ended up being really boring…
