Prompt: Write a story titled “Another Party”.
Cats were wonderful creatures, as some may think. Well, all but Connor. He hated cats. He wasn’t allergic to them, he just didn’t like them. His friends were all going to be bringing their cats to the party in 2 weeks from now, but he hated them. He wanted to go, but only if he brought a cat was he allowed to the party. “You should get a cat,” his parents suggested. “Then you can go to the party.” But Connor didn’t want to get a cat. He wanted to not have one ever in his life. The next day, Romeo, a friend from school, asked Connor to come over to his house to get a cat. He was scared of cats, with their sharp claws and sharp jaws. “Are you going to the cat party?” Romeo asked, as soon as Connor arrived. “I’m bringing my cat, Dusty, to the party,” he said. Connor had been to many parties and had his own birthdays and family gatherings, each one a success. But to go to a party where many people were bringing the thing he hated the most? That was just terrible! He later met Dusty and he didn’t even bite! He quite liked Dusty and convinced his parents to get him a cat of his own. Now he could go to the cat party.
