A New Chapter Begins…

I’m back… Again.

For the past few years, I’ve been in an on-again, off-again relationship with my social media accounts and this website. Social media was a place to share my Take Ten to Write stories which, if you’re new here, was a challenge where I’d take 10 minutes every day to write a short story. I wanted to build my writing consistency, which I thought I’d do through this challenge. Long story short…

I was wrong.

Because of this challenge, writing started becoming a chore. I felt pressured to post a new story every day, even when I didn’t have time to write it. Instead of managing my expectations, I gave up on Take Ten to Write. It was all or nothing. But now, almost a year later, I’ve had time to reflect. And now…

I’m ready to try again.

No more posting every day. No more pressure. No more stress.

I’m going back to doing what I love: writing what I want, when I want. Yes, I’d still like to have some form of consistency, but now I have a better understanding of what’s realistic.

Writing isn’t my full-time job; it’s a passion. And I don’t want to lose this passion again.

So…

Here’s the plan:

• Unification: My Instagram account (@JezlynLang) and this website will house all my content.

• Variety: My content will be a mix of blog posts, book updates, and Take Ten to Write stories.

• Moderation: I’ll be posting up to three pieces of content a week.
