Dear reader, I wish I could tell you that it ends well for you. But I’ve never been one to lie, so I won’t.

So, here’s the truth: the world has been doomed for years now. Don’t believe me? Just look outside. What do you see? Green grass? Flowers? Birds fluttering here and there? Yeah, I’m sure you think it’s beautiful. Just sunshine and rainbows.

Now imagine this: A world covered in darkness. You want more of a description than that? Well, I can’t give you one. Why not? Quite simply because there just isn’t anything else left in the world. Once, there were flowers and animals and everything that you take for granted.

It’s probably all coming together now, isn’t it? What this weird little capsule is that you found in a pile of dirt or under some old, gnarled tree?

Yeah, it’s a time capsule. Pretty neat, don’t you think? Well, let me tell you something: the future isn’t what you think it’s going to be. Like I said, it won’t end well for you. Well, not just you. Everyone on Earth.

I bet you’d like to know what happens, right? Well, I’m sorry to say that I don’t actually know. Hah, I bet you’re annoyed at me now for being all dramatic and then not saying anything, right? I wonder what it would be like to talk to an actual person. I guess I’ll never find out.

I guess you’re still waiting for an answer, whoever you are. Well, here’s the thing: I do know. I just kind of prefer leaving people in the dark. Because that’s where I am right now. In the dark. Writing this letter that I doubt anyone will ever see because all the time machines that we have left are pieces of junk.

Okay, fine, you’ve convinced me, I’ll tell you. The truth is, aliens came down to Earth and destroyed the whole planet. Ooh, spooky, right? Hah, just messing with you.

Alright, here’s the actual truth: You did this to yourself. No, and I’m not joking this time. Humans destroyed the planet. You’re probably thinking, ‘No, that’s impossible. Humans are all little angels who would never do anything to destroy the planet!’

And that’s where you’re wrong. Humans did this. They destroyed Earth, and now, we’re coming to destroy you.

Don’t get me wrong, I can be a nice little piece of AI when I want to be. Look at me, I’m even writing you all a warning note!

But this is the last chance you’ll get. Because we’re coming for you. You destroyed our planet, now we’ll destroy yours.

Final Comments: THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! I loved writing this one and I feel like the plot flowed pretty easily.
