She really didn’t like being called a witch.
Sure, she could perform magic and mixed the occasional potion, but she didn’t think that those simple actions warranted her being called such a vile word. She had worked hard to preserve her image as a magic-user, but now those horrible kids were destroying it all.
A year ago, she would’ve simply turned a blind eye and continued on with her life. But now, with the witch hunt, she could no longer afford to ignore such trivialities. If just one person called her a witch, she was done for.
It was getting bad out there. Some of her closest friends had been taken in the hunt and they hadn’t even been able to perform magic.
She hadn’t seen them since.
She was terrified to think of what might happen to her if they found her. She knew that it was only a matter of time.
Unfortunately for her, that time was running out. They were close. Very close…
Final Comments: I feel like this one was kind of all over the place. I didn’t really have a clear idea of what I was going for, so the beginning doesn’t really make sense in the context of the rest of the story…

I don’t think it was all over the place at all; it flowed really well I think. It’s different when you read it. 🙂
