You bring me a flower every day.

Petunias on Sundays.
Ten o’clock on the dot.
Outside, leaning on your car.
Warm smile and open arms.

Daisies on Mondays.
Seven thirty, give or take.
Cup of coffee in hand.
Favourite song queued up on the radio.

Lilies on Tuesdays.
A little after eight.
Complimenting me on how beautiful I look today.
Willing to listen to my rant about Carol from work.

Orchids on Wednesdays.
Seven thirty. Usually.
A flourish of your hat to make me laugh.
A joke that makes working with Carol bearable.

Tulips on Thursdays.
Eight o’clock sharp.
A pep talk for my big meeting.
A good-luck kiss just before I leave.

Daffodils on Fridays.
Seven or eight, depending on if you’re called to work early.
A sigh of relief that the week is almost over.
Excitement for date night after a hard day’s work.

Roses on Saturdays.
Dinner, because you work late.
A weary, but happy smile.
A kiss and a promise that next week, you’ll do it all again.

Final Comments: For some reason, I found it really hard to think of different things people do in the morning…
